After speaking with members of ACE, I believe this proposal is going to get modified. Installing an anchor on the 5.10 crack could be a good idea, but doesn’t solve the problem of the rappel from top of P2 of Rincon not quite reaching the current 5.8 crack anchor (which descenders will still rappel to when the proposed 5.10 crack anchor is occupied).

My opinion would be to put in this anchor so it mainly serves the 5.8 crack, remove the current 5.8 crack anchor, then talk about a separate anchor for the 5.10 crack.

This application is for an anchor at the top of 5.10 crack, which will serve 5.10 crack and people rappelling from the second pitch of rincon. A sperate application will be summitted for moving the 5.8 anchor up about 7 feet.
